Specially, someone who encourages clients through personal or career challenges and holds them accountable. A life coach counsels and encourages clients through personal career challenges. Coaching focuses on helping clients achieve personal goals, develop positive behavior changes, shift their perspective, and focus on self-improvement.

Life Coaching vs. Therapy?
Life coaching and therapy have similarities, but they are different services. Even though they both focus on improving well-being, there are distinct differences. Therapists require certain educational and specific license prerequisites to provide mental health care and treatment.

Coaching is focused on personal and professional development. Coaches will help their client's build and utilize the right tools to reach their interpersonal goals but do not offer clinical mental health care. Coaches provide tools to help their client's navigate movement to change. Therapy focuses on past and resolving issues dealing with mental health disorders through a clinical aspect. Life coaches encourage client's to be goal oriented, driven, develop tools to move forward, guide clients into their ideal life, and most authentic self.
